Anyone who knows anything about me at all knows I have the biggest stash of the strangest things. Most of the time they never get used but my love for treasure hunting makes it so that the stash grows bigger and bigger. One of the many collections of hardly ever used but obsessively purchased things is vintage bras and slips. I never wear them because there are almost always white or off white and frankly that just doesn't excite me very much. So even though I treasure them dearly (I do really love the shapes and detailing) I decided to start dyeing them. I'm pretty good with a pot full of dye and some rubber gloves so I don't normally worry about ruining things but you just never really know how things are going to turn out when you don't know the fiber content. Plus there is always the dreaded spontaneous combustion that can happen with vintage things the first time they hit the water or worse your body, as you slowly come apart at the seams on the dance floor.

Having watched this amazing process is something to be seen with the naked eye. Frankly, it's always cool to see what colour of glove or corset comes out next. The magical wonders of a sink full of dye, rubber gloves and a wooden stirring spoon can create. Excellent job!
